By accessing and utilizing the MareSpot (marespot.com) digital service, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

MareSpot is an independent recreational beach intelligence platform providing environmental and geographic analysis for over 1,031 coastal bays in the Croatian Adriatic. Features include wind shelter simulations, microbiological bathing water ratings, and terrain profiles.

2. Crucial Marine Safety & Meteorological Disclaimer

⚠️ Marine & Coastal Safety Notice: Wind shelter assessments, wave exposure ratings, and marine weather models provided on MareSpot are generated via automated algorithmic processing. Maritime weather in the Adriatic Sea can change rapidly due to local convective storms (nevera), sudden Bora gusts, or strong Sirocco swells.

Information displayed on MareSpot is not a substitute for official nautical charts, maritime piloting publications, or official weather warnings issued by the DHMZ and Croatian Harbor Master offices. Users assume sole responsibility for their decisions regarding boating, anchoring, swimming, and marine safety. MareSpot disclaims all liability for any damages or injuries resulting from reliance upon platform assessments.

3. Affiliate Bookings & Third-Party Vendors

MareSpot does not own, operate, or sell travel accommodations, excursions, or boat rentals:

All lodging reservations are finalized directly with Booking.com under their respective transactional terms.
All tour reservations and water sports activities are booked directly through GetYourGuide or local providers.
MareSpot charges no fees to users and holds no contractual liability regarding fulfillment of third-party bookings.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All brand design elements, algorithmic shelter scoring systems, editorial bay summaries, and software code are the intellectual property of MareSpot.

Official bathing water datasets remain the property of IZOR (Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries), with meteorological inputs credited to DHMZ and Open-Meteo. Non-commercial linking and social sharing are encouraged with appropriate attribution.

5. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union.
